I’m having a bit of trouble figuring out just what it is I want to do with my life, so in the mean time I like to ramble around the world and blog about it.
I am currently based in Saigon, Vietnam but wherever I go, I have a a bit of a knack for finding myself in funny, bizzare and sometimes dodgy situation. This isn’t a travel blog in the sense that I offer ideas and advice on where to stay and what to do – its more a collection of stories, some nice, but we all know it is the disaters that make for the best yarns.
If you like what I write, watch this space, my first chick-lit novel, Ticket to Paradise, is going to be released on Kindle Unlimited soon.
Well, I’m definitely not your mum, but I’m here anyway!

Hi Cary – lovely ‘About Me’ you have. When I am not working, I travel. I wish it was other way around, but I will get there. By the way there are loads of options to travel with low budget, without becoming poor. 😉 Those opportunities are just not as visible and requires some effort, but it’s definitely worth it.

Thank you. Yeah that’s true about low-budget travel but I think what makes me poor is the long periods of time not making any money while I am away….. now if I could just find a way to earn money whilst traveling I’d be set.

I like the way you write Carly. That’s a follow from me. And I’m neither a tourist nor a traveller! 😉 I hunt out little hidden places as a local. Seeing things from the slow lane. And that’s cool too! Thanks for a good read. Cheerios, CC

Hey thanks so much for that. My overseas backpacking days are behind me for a while at least so I’ll be doing more local travel and finding hidden places in my own backyard.

Thanks for finding my site – I think we both might have similar ways of attracting hilarity/stupidity!
Will enjoy following you!

Vietnam is on our travel list Carly, so we’ll be having a browse around your blog. Love the tone of the blog and your term “slomad,” a wonderful, descriptive word. ~James

Yes, I can’t take credit for ‘slowmad’, but I think its perfect. I said to a friend at home that I am a slow-moving nomad and he goes, “you’re a slowmad!”

Kudos to your friend Carly. It’s an excellent term for a “smell-the-roses” traveler – which would be an excellent post topic. ~James
